Cocoa Beach, Florida

As America raced to the moon in the wake of WWII, Cocoa Beach hustled to keep up with growth, building dozens of motels and gaining a reputation as a party town. That vibe has remained largely intact, and the area seems eternally populated with beer-wielding, scantily clad youth.
Cocoa Beach’s other claim to fame: surfing. Eleven-time surfing world champion Kelly Slater, born and raised here, learned his moves in Cocoa Beach and thus established it as one of Florida’s best surf towns.
